Alice Springs in the year 2039. A fish falls from the sky and lands at the feet of Gabriel York. It still smells of the sea. It’s been raining for days and Gabriel knows something is wrong. Eighty years earlier his grandfather, Henry Law, predicts that fish will fall from the sky heralding a great flood which will end life on earth as we know it.

In an achingly beautiful story that spans four generations and two continents, this powerful drama is an investigation of mortality and family, of shared experience and inherited legacies, of the strength of nature and the compassion of humanity.

Join us on a breath-taking mystery in collaboration with a passionate creative team of performers and artists, and a story from one of Australia’s most acclaimed and successful playwrights, Andrew Bovell (Lantana, Strictly Ballroom) in one of the highlights of this year’s festival.
