STEVEN ROOKE

SIMON STEPHENS

Simon Stephens is a contemporary English playwright, whose recent works include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (2013 Olivier Award Best New Play, 2015 Tony Award Best Play), Heisenberg (2015 Off-Broadway), numerous adaptations of shows like the National Theatre's 2016 The Threepenny Opera, Chekov's The Seagull (2017) and The Cherry Orchard (2014), plus On the Shore of the Wide World (2006 Olivier Award Best New Play). Stephens ran the Young Writers' Program at the Royal Court Theatre in London, premiering several shows there including Motortown (2006), Country Music (2004), Herons (2001), and Bluebird (1998). Currently Stephens is an Artistic Associate at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre in London, where his adaptation of The Seagull played in 2017. Simon is a father of three, he lives in London with his wife and family.



TIMOTHY WYNN

Timothy Wynn is the Artistic Director of THAT Production Company. Since 2009 Timothy has fashioned diverse and imaginative seasons of theatrical experiences as the Artistic Director of THAT Production Company. He has directed over 20 productions, including the Australian premier of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Ruined by Lynn Nottage (at Studio 188, Ipswich) Saved by Edward Bond (at the Old Courthouse, Ipswich); Les Liaisons Dangereuses (at the Roundhouse Theatre, Kelvin Grove); Spring’s Awakening (at Metro Arts, Brisbane). Timothy studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, and trained at the JUTE Theatre Company’s Director Development Program facilitated by Dr David Fenton. Timothy has also worked as an Assistant Director with Backbone Youth Arts, JUTE Theatre Company, Spotlight Theatre, and Fractal Theatre Company. In 2017 his production of Cosi with Beenleigh Theatre Company was nominated for seven Gold Coast Theatre Awards, winning Best Supporting Actress and Best Magic Moment of Theatre. In 2018 Timothy directed Summer of the Seventeenth Doll (also for Beenleigh Theatre Company) and Baal by Bertholt Brecht for Vena Cava Theatre Company. Recently Timothy was nominated for a Matilda Award for his direction of Sea Wall by Simon Stephens.



STEPHANIE ELLIOT

Stephanie is an aspiring theatre-maker with a keen interest in contemporary works. A recent graduate of QUT’s BFA Drama, Stephanie has continued exploring directing, writing and producing works, with a public reading of her work To the Monster in My Cupboard staged locally in 2020. Since then, she has collaborated with THAT Production company on their 2021 performance of Sea Wall. Stephanie’s current interests in live performance sit within a very exploratory field and she hopes to continue to play with new works, theatrical forms, and spaces.



NICHOLAS SOUTHEY

Nicholas Southey is an award-winning independent Producer and Theatre-maker. Using his creative practice, he aims to shape the cultural footprint of Brisbane's arts sector by growing its vibrant independent theatre. He has worked with or alongside several of Brisbane's most renowned arts organisations including Metro Arts, Queensland Theatre, La Boite, Circa, The Good Room, The Little Red Company, Blak Social (in association with QPAC) and THAT Production Company. He also runs the new-work generator, The Black Box Collective, which has provided over 20 professional opportunities to young Artists. For his work, Nicholas received the 2021 MILKE Emerging Producer Award.



DANIEL ANDERZIPF

Daniel is a creative consultant working across multiple industries spanning a variety of roles from lighting designer to managing director. Daniel is known for bringing creative solutions to the most basic of problems which result in a delicious all-encompassing experience for the audience. As Lighting Designer, Daniel has worked with a variety of arts companies, practitioners, engineers, and architects during his career including Queensland Theatre, Brisbane Festival, La Boite Theatre, Brisbane Powerhouse, Australasian Dance Collective, Buck Outdoor, THAT Production Company, Opera Australia, Belvoir, Verde Property, Metro Property Group and a collection of agencies across multiple levels of government. Previous credits with THAT Production Company include: Sea Wall, Kill Climate Deniers, Tick, Tick… BOOM!, and Yielding.



BRADY WATKINS

Brady graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music Technology. She is the Sound Associate of Queensland Theatre and resident Sound Designer/Composer at La Boite Theatre as part of their Artist Company. Other theatre credits include: as Sound Designer/ Composer – Othello, Metamorphoses, Moth, Wisdom, The Trial (Queensland Theatre); Away, The Neighbourhood (La Boite); SWARM (Dead Puppet Society); Seawall (THAT Production Company); The Revisionist (Refraction Theatre); Reagan Kelly (Rocket Boy Ensemble). As Sound Designer: Bernhardt/Hamlet (Queensland Theatre); The Last Five Years, Bigger & Blacker (La Boite). As Associate Sound Designer: The Wider Earth - 2022 National Tour (Dead Puppet Society); Sweet Charity (Woodward Productions). BROOKE COLEMAN

Brooke is a costume and set designer based in Brisbane. After graduating from QUT’s Bachelor of Creative Industries (Technical Production) in December 2018, Brooke designed set and costume for Queensland Music Theatre’s school touring shows My Story Your Story and Hoods. In 2019 she was set and costume designer for Queensland Theatre’s Senior Youth Ensemble production of The Trial. For the past three years, Brooke has regularly designed costumes for Brisbane Arts Theatre, including their 2020 production of Dodger and 2021 The 39 Steps. Sea Wall was Brooke’s first project with THAT Production Company she has since designed costumes for their productions of Tick, Tick … BOOM! and Failure to Launch.
