ART MATTERS: An Afternoon of Q & A with MakeShift Dance Collective

Sun 7 June // 3pm - 5pm // Studio 188 (188 Brisbane St, Ipswich)

“Good conversation – there’s nothing like it, is there? The air of ideas is the only air worth breathing.” Edith Wharton

The Sunday afternoon chill out session just got a little more enlightening. Join THAT Production Company as they chat to the members of independent dance-based collective MakeShift Dance Collective.

Committed to contributing to and fostering a vibrant and diverse dance community and having performed continuously as a collective for five years (including at the Brisbane Festival, the Anywhere Theatre Festival and the Brisbane Emerging Art Festival), the members of MakeShift approach conversation about their industry with the same passion, drive and curiosity as their work.

Last year they tested out their new performance work ONE TWO TEN Project as part of our Performance-in-Progress Series - see the pictures of their development here, and the full work from this year's 2015 Anywhere Festival here

On Sunday 7 June, sit back and soak it in, or raise your hand and discover the answer to your own burning questions as this Sunday afternoon conversation explores why art matters.
